Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious E-Waste Plant Operator to oversee the day-to-day operation of electronic waste recycling equipment and processing lines. The operator will be responsible for receiving, sorting, dismantling, shredding, segregating, and processing various categories of electronic waste while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor e-waste recycling machinery, including shredders, conveyors, separators, crushers, and material handling equipment.
- Perform manual and mechanical dismantling of electronic waste such as computers, laptops, mobile phones, servers, telecom equipment, household appliances, and other electronic devices.
- Segregate materials into categories such as ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, plastics, printed circuit boards (PCBs), batteries, and hazardous components.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic preventive maintenance of equipment.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, and operational issues.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of hazardous materials in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of material processed, equipment downtime, and daily production activities.
- Follow all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) procedures and company policies.
- Assist in inventory management and material movement within the facility.
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards throughout the work area.
- Support production targets while ensuring quality and compliance standards are met.
Required Qualifications
- ITI/Diploma or equivalent technical qualification preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in e-waste recycling, manufacturing, waste management, metal processing, or industrial operations.
- Basic understanding of mechanical equipment and industrial machinery.
- Ability to identify various electronic components and materials.
- Physically fit and capable of handling material movement and manual dismantling tasks.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and PPE requirements.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in e-waste recycling, battery recycling, or metal recovery operations.
- Forklift or material handling equipment experience.
- Basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
- Understanding of environmental compliance requirements.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
