What would you do? The Blackline Administrator serves as the primary guardian and overseer of the Blackline system and its interfaces, ensuring ongoing stability, accuracy, and performance. This critical role safeguards the integrity and reliability of financial reconciliation processes, which are essential to client’s business operations and compliance. The administrator is responsible for monitoring system performance, resolving technical issues, and managing configurations, while also serving as the key liaison with third-party vendors and technical consultants. The role requires both a strong functional understanding of financial systems and excellent coordination skills to ensure smooth communication across internal stakeholders and external support partners.
What are we looking for? •EXPERIENCE Experience with financial systems, particularly SAP and their related interfaces, with a focus on ensuring system integrity and performance Knowledge of the Blackline system, including its modules and core functionalities Understanding of financial processes and accounting principles Familiarity with data integration techniques and tools Exposure to SOX compliance requirements and relevant regulatory standards •EDUCATION Bachelor’s Degree (IT, Finance or relevant field) Lean Six Sigma or equivalent process improvement certification is an advantage SKILLS (Technical / Functional / Leadership) Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently Excellent decision-making abilities and attention to detail Effective communication skills (written and verbal), including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Fluent in English (written and spoken) Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and align across functions Change management and coaching capabilities Strong leadership and people management skills Understanding of GBS control environments and audit practices Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement frameworks is a plus Strong negotiation and vendor management skills, particularly when coordinating with consultants or third-party providers
Roles and Responsibilities: •Develop and assist in simplifying reconciliation process by implementing in Blackline approved changes (as per Governance process) Maintain complete and accurate Blackline GBS System Administrator TLD and support control documentation requirements (guidelines and TLDs related to Blackline tool). Perform Blackline Admin Impact Assessment for all Design CREWs and Data Standard CREWs relating to Balance Sheet GL account created or amended, in line with Global Reconciliation Framework (GRF) Together with GRF owner as part of Blackline Admin Impact Assessment, flag to the Global Process Experts all the relevant account data elements required for reconciliation set up (if the accounts should be open item managed or auto posting, reconciliation type, frequency, and team responsibility) in line with GRF Ensure Blackline system settings are always in sync with latest GRF version/ changes Maintain integrity of the system and ensure no unauthorized changes are performed in any Blackline instance (Sandbox/ Production) Support BCP preparation / execution by providing regular trainings (Quarterly/ Half Yearly) to assigned BCP System Admins in the other GBS Centers Implement BL improvements from GBS and EMs, assessed by R2R Transform team and approved as per governance process, by performing the required technical settings. •Leadership Clear communication of internal procedures, of vision and objectives and ensuring they are understood and applied accordingly. Drive team performance and promote continuous improvement in master data management to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data. Leading and managing the operational master data team, ensuring the appropriate skills and levels of competence of the analysts to meet the demands of the business, so that the team remains motivated. Generates and shares comprehensive and detailed reports about team performance, mission-related objectives, and deadlines. Clearly communicate internal procedures, vision and objectives and ensure they are understood and implemented. Develop and coach individuals within the team by creating development plans and guiding analysts towards their career paths
