Wanted powder coating gun operator
We are looking for a skilled and responsible Powder Coating Operator to operate the powder coating gun and carry out powder coating activities on sheet metal and fabricated components. The candidate should have hands-on experience in powder coating, knowledge of coating processes, and the ability to achieve consistent quality and finish.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate manual powder coating guns safely and efficiently.
- Perform powder coating on sheet metal, fabricated parts, panels, and other components.
- Set and adjust powder coating gun parameters such as voltage, current, and powder flow according to job requirements.
- Ensure proper and uniform coating thickness and surface finish.
- Prepare components before coating, including cleaning, masking, and checking the surface condition.
- Select the appropriate powder colour and material as per production requirements.
- Maintain proper distance, angle, and movement of the spray gun to achieve uniform coating.
- Identify coating defects such as uneven coating, orange peel, pinholes, patches, sagging, and poor adhesion.
- Carry out touch-up and re-coating wherever required.
- Monitor powder consumption and minimize powder wastage.
- Maintain cleanliness of the powder coating booth, gun, hoses, and related equipment.
- Clean and maintain the powder coating gun and equipment after colour/job changes.
- Follow production schedules and complete assigned work within the required time.
- Conduct basic quality checks on coated components before sending them to the next process.
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements in the powder coating area.
- Coordinate with supervisors and other production team members to ensure smooth workflow.
- Report equipment problems, coating defects, or material shortages to the supervisor immediately.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Good hands-on experience in operating a powder coating spray gun.
- Knowledge of powder coating processes and equipment.
- Ability to achieve consistent coating thickness and finish.
- Basic knowledge of different powder coating colours and materials.
- Ability to identify and rectify common coating defects.
- Good understanding of workplace safety and PPE.
- Ability to work in a production environment.
- Physically fit and willing to work as per production requirements.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
- 10th / 12th Pass or ITI preferred.
- Relevant experience in powder coating will be considered more important than educational qualification.
EXPERIENCE
- 1–3 years of experience in powder coating operations preferred.
- Candidates with strong hands-on experience in manual powder coating gun operation will be given preference.
- Experience in a sheet metal or manufacturing company is an added advantage.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
