We are looking for a Business Analyst with strong product thinking who can bridge the gap between business intent and technology execution. The role requires deep expertise in requirements gathering, solution design, and end-to-end ownership of digital features — while applying a product manager's lens to prioritize impact, shape the user journey, and drive adoption. The ideal candidate will leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to accelerate discovery, automate routine analysis, and deliver faster, smarter outcomes in a consumer-facing, technology-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with business teams to define business requirements to meet the product objectives. Ensure requirements are within our business standards and guidelines and align with our business strategy and objectives.
Managing Business Requirement for new digital insurance journeys and enhancements in the digital systems including B2B and B2C assets
Transform Business requirements/ask into user stories
Provide consultancy to business for their digital needs on individual/group life products and enhancements.
End to end responsibility and ownership of solutions from Designing till their implementation (done in Project Mode)
Co-creating the product roadmap with the product manager to implement new features, enhancing existing features or sun-setting redundant features
Involved in creating a prototype and ensuring that the product is tested for technical robustness
Communicate, collaborate, and negotiate with key stakeholders (business groups, control groups etc.)
Review work closely with various business partners and other departments to create future proof solutions covering digital, automation, APIs, integration and Resource management •
Evaluating and implementing new frameworks, tools as part of projects
Responsible for building and managing governance processes and making sure teams are consciously adhering to Processes
Be accountable for scrum team deliverables and KPIs. Monitor and measure progress on user story delivery and sprint team velocity. Review metrics to measure value and identify opportunities for improvement.
Provide technical expertise in solving/troubleshooting performance other non-functional requirements
Study digital solution performance on the field, identify the user issues, and get the technical issues sorted
Training Knowledge Management within the team and stakeholders
Leading the team of business partners to co-create technical solutions for business problems
Ensure quality deliveries are done on time for SIT/UAT, provide testing support
Work with operations and technical teams to research and resolve production issues. Clarify ambiguities and customer experience based on business requirements and product objectives. Market Skills and Certifications
Managing the Information Security and Compliance risks for the product
Managing Product Backlog, Scrum Team, and Prioritization
Working with UI/UX team on creating Design
Embed AI as a first-class capability in business analysis, product design for customers.
Personally use AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, Gemini, or equivalent) to accelerate PRD/BRD drafting, competitive research, data analysis, sprint documentation, and stakeholder communication.
Champion a culture of AI experimentation within the team — run internal ideation sprints, build proof-of-concepts, and establish frameworks for evaluating AI feature ROI.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
To maintain a healthy working relationship with the business users and other members of the IT Team
Responsible for overall performance, cost and delivery of technological solutions
Measures of Success:
On-time, defect-free delivery of digital features aligned to business priorities
Quality and completeness of BRDs, user stories, and solution design documents
Sprint velocity and reduction in rework / change requests post sign-off
Digital adoption and engagement metrics for features owned
Stakeholder satisfaction — business, technology, and distribution partners
Reduction in manual effort through AI-assisted automation initiatives
SLA compliance and defect repetition rates
Customer satisfaction ratings on digital touchpoints
Key competencies/skills required:
Strong business analysis with hands-on experience in consumer-facing, technology-driven environments (Insurance / BFSI preferred)
Proven ability to write crisp user stories, BRDs, and functional specs with zero ambiguity
Able to prioritise, sequence, and manage a feature backlog independently
Experience with Agile / Scrum methodology; worked with tools like Jira, Confluence, or equivalent
Understanding of APIs and system integration; experience working on API integration projects
Familiarity with GenAI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or similar) in a professional context
Understanding of mobile and web application technologies
Ability to prototype and validate solutions rapidly before full development commitment
Strong communication and facilitation skills — comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders
Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data, spot patterns, and draw actionable insights
Passionate Problem Solver and “Can do attitude”, self-driven with sound communication articulation skills
B.E / MCA / MBA /degree from a reputed institute
5-6 years of strong business analysis experience with hands-on software development background
Should have delivered at least 2-3 large projects preferably in insurance domain
Should be working or should have worked with reputed organizations or startups
