Key Responsibilities
Academic Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver Social Science lessons in accordance with the CBSE curriculum and school guidelines.
- Develop age-appropriate lesson plans, worksheets, projects, and assessments.
- Use innovative teaching methodologies, including experiential and activity-based learning.
- Integrate technology and digital learning tools into classroom instruction.
- Encourage students to develop awareness of social, cultural, and environmental issues.
Student Development
- Foster critical thinking, observation, inquiry, and analytical skills among students.
- Promote values such as respect, responsibility, citizenship, and cultural sensitivity.
- Identify and support students requiring additional academic assistance.
- Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
Assessment & Evaluation
- Conduct regular assessments, class tests, projects, and assignments.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Prepare report cards and academic progress reports as per school timelines.
Classroom Management
- Maintain discipline and positive classroom behavior.
- Ensure a safe, engaging, and learner-friendly classroom environment.
- Manage classroom resources effectively.
Parent & School Collaboration
- Participate in Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) and provide updates on student progress.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers for interdisciplinary learning activities.
- Support school events, educational excursions, exhibitions, and co-curricular activities.
- Attend workshops, training programs, staff meetings, and professional development initiatives.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain attendance records, assessment records, and academic documentation.
- Complete assigned duties and responsibilities as directed by the School Management.
- Adhere to all school policies, CBSE guidelines, and child protection norms.
Qualifications & ExperienceEducational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Science, History, Geography, Political Science, or related discipline.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from a recognized institution.
- CTET qualified (preferred).
Experience
- Minimum 2-5 years of teaching experience at Primary Level.
- Experience in CBSE schools will be preferred.
