Accounts & Finance Executive – Logistics CompanyJob Summary
We are looking for an Accounts & Finance Executive to manage the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of our logistics and transportation business. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of company income and expenses, tracking truck and driver-related payments, managing billing, taxation, and supporting overall financial control.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain day-to-day accounting records of the company.
- Record and monitor income, expenses, receipts, payments, and bank transactions.
- Maintain accounts related to trucks, drivers, fuel, tolls, repairs, maintenance, and transportation expenses.
- Track trip-wise and vehicle-wise expenses and revenue.
- Prepare and maintain customer invoices, bills, payment receipts, and supporting documents.
- Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Maintain records of driver advances, settlements, reimbursements, and pending payments.
- Reconcile bank accounts, cash transactions, customer accounts, and supplier accounts.
- Handle accounting entries and maintain books using Tally/other accounting software.
- Assist in GST return preparation, TDS, and other statutory compliance.
- Maintain proper documentation for GST invoices, purchase bills, fuel bills, toll receipts, and other expenses.
- Assist with monthly profit & loss statements, cash-flow reports, and financial summaries.
- Monitor cash flow and working capital of the company.
- Verify bills and expenses before processing payments.
- Coordinate with customers, vendors, drivers, transporters, and banks regarding financial matters.
- Maintain proper records for government tenders and transportation contracts, including billing and payment documentation.
- Assist management in analysing cost per trip, fuel expenses, vehicle profitability, and overall transportation costs.
- Ensure that all financial records are accurate, updated, and properly filed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Graduate in B.Com, M.Com, BBA, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
- Working knowledge of Tally/Tally Prime and MS Excel.
- Knowledge of GST, TDS, invoicing, and basic taxation.
- Good numerical and analytical skills.
- Ability to maintain confidential financial information.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Experience in logistics, transportation, fleet accounting, or a similar industry will be an advantage.
Preferred Candidate
A candidate who can independently handle the company's day-to-day accounts and finance operations, understand transportation-related expenses, and provide management with accurate financial information for decision-making.
Experience: 0–2 years (Freshers with relevant accounting knowledge may apply)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
