Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented R&D Executive to join our Color Cosmetics manufacturing team. The candidate will be responsible for developing innovative cosmetic formulations, improving existing products, conducting laboratory trials, and supporting new product launches while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize formulations for color cosmetics, including lipsticks, lip glosses, foundations, concealers, compact powders, loose powders, blushes, eyeshadows, eyeliners, kajal, mascara, primers, setting sprays, and makeup removers.
- Conduct laboratory trials and prepare product samples for evaluation and customer approvals.
- Improve existing formulations for better stability, texture, performance, and cost optimization.
- Perform stability studies, compatibility testing, and product performance evaluations.
- Evaluate and approve raw materials, pigments, waxes, oils, emulsifiers, preservatives, fragrances, and packaging materials.
- Coordinate pilot batches and scale-up activities with the Production team.
- Troubleshoot formulation and manufacturing issues during production.
- Prepare formulation sheets, batch manufacturing records, specifications, SOPs, and technical documentation.
- Ensure products comply with BIS, FDA (where applicable), ISO 22716, GMP, and other regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), Packaging, Marketing, and Sales teams for successful product development.
- Conduct competitor benchmarking and market research to identify trends and innovative ingredients.
- Stay updated with new cosmetic ingredients, technologies, and industry regulations.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of cosmetic formulation and ingredient compatibility.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment and formulation techniques.
- Knowledge of pigments, emulsions, silicones, polymers, waxes, oils, surfactants, preservatives, and active ingredients.
- Understanding of product stability testing and quality standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Strong communication and cross-functional coordination.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Preferred Experience
- Experience in manufacturing color cosmetics or personal care products.
- Hands-on experience in product development from concept to commercialization.
- Exposure to pilot batches, production scale-up, and technology transfer.
- Knowledge of regulatory documentation and product registrations.

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
