SOBHA is seeking a highly skilled MEP BIM Coordinator (MEPF Specialist) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing, managing, and coordinating BIM models for MEPF systems across diverse construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage detailed 3D BIM models for MEPF systems (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing & Firefighting).
- Coordinate with architects, structural teams, and contractors to ensure seamless interdisciplinary integration.
- Perform clash detection and resolve design conflicts using tools such as Autodesk Navisworks.
- Create and maintain BIM standards, templates, families, and libraries for MEPF disciplines.
- Produce GFC drawings, shop drawings, fabrication models, and as-built models from BIM data.
- Support quantity take-offs and assist in cost estimation.
- Provide technical support and training on BIM and MEPF modeling.
- Ensure all BIM deliverables meet project requirements, codes, and industry standards.
- Prepare reports and documentation for coordination meetings and approvals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or relevant field).
- 3–6 years of experience as a BIM Specialist/Modeler focusing on MEPF.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (MEP), AutoCAD, and Autodesk Navisworks.
- Strong understanding of MEPF design principles and construction workflows.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
- Revit/BIM certifications are a plus.
- Experience with large-scale commercial or infrastructure projects preferred.
- Knowledge of 2D/3D/4D/5D BIM, lifecycle management, and automation tools (Dynamo/Python) is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with international MEPF codes and standards.
