Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to resolve high-priority incidents through advanced troubleshooting, ensure SLA compliance, analyse system performance trends, and create mitigation measures by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Areas of responsibility
Triaging and resolution of tickets-Provide resolution to high priority incident (P2) tickets, performing advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis to ensure timely closure.
SLA Monitoring-Ensure SLA compliance for assigned technology areas and ensure proactive escalation management.
Performance tuning and optimization-Analyse system performance data, coordinate findings on system behaviour, and support capacity planning initiatives to enhance overall system efficiency.
Perform system Improvements-Create mitigation measures to evaluate new tools or improvements by collaborating with technical teams.
Handling disaster recovery-Perform security assessments and recovery drills, and implement necessary controls to ensure compliance with established security standards.
Reporting and stakeholder engagement-Participate in weekly and monthly service review meetings, provide updates on performance and issues, and support stakeholder communication to ensure transparency and service alignment.
Team Management-Collaborate with team members to resolve open tickets and service requests.
Knowledge base and continuous learning Contribute to updating SOPs, knowledge articles and maintaining the knowledge repository for the purpose of future ticket resolution.

Cassandra DBA JD
Description:
Installation Of Apache/DSE Cassandra DB on Bare Metal servers or cloud
Upgrade of existing Apache/DSE Cassandra DB to higher version.
Data Migration activities on Cassandra DB.
Debugging Issues and fixing on Cassandra DB with Application teams.
Capacity Planning.
Adding / Removing Cassandra nodes or the whole DC to existing DC.
Working on automating existing system monitoring/creating dashboard using Shell script, Python.
Working on Ansible, Dockers. Good understanding of ansible playbooks.
Setting Up OpsCenter.
Good understanding of certificates, how keystore/truststore works in DB.
Good exposures to authenticating Cassandra DB using JMX.
Good understanding of Heap, Garbage collection works in DB.
11) Working on Central station tickets and Radars assigned by different application teams.
Basic understanding of Elasticsearch, creating Elastic Search index, creating dashboard using index metrices.
Basic understanding of Solr/Spark, creating Solr indexes, Spark jobs .

Hands-on data analysis or research experience in database sharding, replication, recovery, and performance optimizations, in in-memory databases
Proficient in data migration and minimization of downtime supporting an SLA
Identify key metrics and build resilient processes to detect and minimize issues
Strong, hands-on knowledge of scripting and automation tasks.
Experience preparing and working in a production environment
Install and configure Redis/ElasticSearch database software
Monitor performance and tune, diagnose and repair data systems
Implement backup and recovery methods for Redis cache
Manage security connection to the Redis databases
Maintain the security requirements for the Redis database
Develop and document standards, processes and procedures for forethinking operational efficiencies on the Redis platform
Working closely with other teams and collaborating with other team members
Support and problem resolution for major outage and/or complicated technical challenges that may arise in the ecosystem
Work closely with team management, advanced engineering and vendor on all architectural decisions
Strong communicator (written and spoken) and time manager who excels at working with distributed teams.
Provide status reporting to information technology management and any assigned project teams when required
Work with vendor and Engineering to deploy Redis updates, patches and version upgrades when required
Capacity planning Aligning with the systems engineering team to propose and deploy new hardware and software environments required to ensure scalability and reliability
Applying security patches
Build tools, services, frameworks and interfaces to enable monitoring, management and operations in production.
Willingness to investigate and troubleshoot issues and make recommendations to improve system performance
Willingness to work on other NoSQL databases such as Cassandra and ElasticSearch.
MongoDB Database Administrator
8 -10 years Experienced DBA (any database)
MongoDB DBA (2 years plus)
Scripting and programming experience
Production deployment experience
Migration experience from RDBMS to MongoDB.
Exposure to public cloud would be an added advantage
Responsibilities:
MongoDB - CRUD Operations, Document based Data Modeling, Design of Collections and Documents
Experience with physical collection creation, access pattern tuning, sharding implementation, index creation, and debugging query execution to obtain optimum database performance
Excellent understanding of various MongoDB database design patterns and physical architectures for different use cases
Data replication and sharding in a distributed database
Aggregation of data using MapReduce and other batch processing use cases
Experienced in MongoDB Security
Detecting performance problems using Mongo Profiler
Automate routine tasks with your own scripts and open-source tools
Defragmentation
Schema Design – working with Application/Development team
Query fine tuning
Shell scripts for Monitoring like ‘slow queries’, replication lag, nodes fails, disk usage etc.
Backup and restores ( Backups should be automated with shell scripts/Ops Manager)
Database Health check (Complete review of Database slow queries, fragmentation, index usage...etc. )
Index rebuild
Upgrades (Java version, Mongo version,etc)
Maintenance ( Data center outages, etc)
Architecture design as per the Application requirement
Writing best practices documents for sharding, replication for Dev/App teams
Log rotation/ maintenance ( mongos, mongod, config . etc)
Segregation of duties ( User Management – designing User roles and responsibilities )
