Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates, quotations, material requirements, and project budgets. The candidate will be responsible for analyzing drawings, specifications, quantities, labour requirements, and material costs to ensure competitive and profitable project pricing.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and quotations based on drawings, BOQs, specifications, and project requirements.
- Review architectural, structural, MEP, or other relevant drawings and identify project requirements.
- Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare accurate BOQs.
- Calculate material, labour, equipment, transportation, and other project costs.
- Obtain and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Coordinate with the procurement, engineering, sales, and project teams for accurate estimation.
- Analyze project specifications and identify discrepancies, variations, and potential cost risks.
- Prepare commercial proposals and submit quotations within deadlines.
- Maintain records of previous estimates, supplier rates, and project costs for future reference.
- Negotiate with suppliers/subcontractors when required to obtain competitive rates.
- Assist in preparing revised estimates for variations and additional works.
- Monitor market prices and update cost databases regularly.
- Ensure estimates are accurate, commercially viable, and aligned with company requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience as an Estimator, Quantity Surveyor, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-off, costing, and rate analysis.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project specifications.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and estimation software.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD,3D and Sketchup is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in construction, fit-out, MEP, manufacturing, fabrication, or engineering projects.
- Knowledge of Indian market material and labour rates.
- Experience dealing with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Knowledge of ERP/software used for estimation and project costing.

- Accuracy of estimates and BOQs.
- Timely submission of quotations.
- Cost competitiveness and profitability of projects.
- Accuracy of material and labour cost calculations.
- Reduction of estimation errors and cost overruns.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
