Product Design Engineer
Working Days: Monday to Saturday
Shift Timings: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Work Mode: On-site (Thane)
Must-Haves for This Role
Education: Degree/Diploma/Post Graduation in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Product Design, or a related technical field.
Experience: 2 to 4 years of experience in product design, CAD modeling, Solidworks, and hands-on sheet metal fabrication environments.
Technical Skills: Proficient in SolidWorks (2D/3D modeling), blueprint reading, sheet metal design rules, and geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T).
Soft Skills: Strong communication, creative & logical mind, and sharp problem-solving capabilities.
Candidate preferred location: Thane, Mumbai or Navi Mumbai.
Joining: Immediate joiners preferred (15 to 30 days maximum notice period).
Key Responsibilities
- CAD Modeling & Blueprinting: Create precise 2D/3D engineering drawings and blueprints using SolidWorks software.
- Fabrication Expertise: Apply strong technical knowledge of sheet metal and steel fabrication methods to all designs.
- Vendor Coordination: Coordinate directly with external fabrication vendors, including mandatory physical site visits to check progress.
- Production Operations & QA: Partner with the internal production team to ensure smooth shop-floor execution and strict quality checks.
- Design Iteration: Execute rapid modifications and make necessary changes in design based on project requirements.
Expectation:
Design for Manufacturability: Proven ability to design complex products that are not only functional but also cost-effective and easy to build in a fabrication environment.
Project Accountability: Take full ownership of vendor relationships and site execution, bridging the gap between technical specifications and physical reality.
Process Optimization: Proactively identify and resolve process bottlenecks on the shop floor to guarantee smooth, high-quality production runs.
Rapid Adaptation: Thrive in a fast-paced environment, quickly iterating designs while maintaining engineering integrity.
