Job Summary
We are looking for a Commercial Vehicle Floor In-Charge to manage day-to-day workshop floor operations for Tata Motors commercial vehicles. The role involves coordinating technicians, monitoring repair jobs, ensuring adherence to Tata Motors service standards, and supporting timely vehicle delivery with high customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise workshop floor activities for Tata Motors commercial vehicles
- Allocate jobs to technicians based on skill level and workload
- Monitor job progress to ensure timely completion and quality repair
- Ensure adherence to Tata Motors SOPs, safety norms, and warranty guidelines
- Coordinate with Service Advisors for job cards, parts availability, and delivery timelines
- Maintain discipline, productivity, and housekeeping on the workshop floor
- Assist in identifying repeat repairs and improvement areas
- Support warranty documentation and technical escalations when required
Required Skills & Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering
- 1–2 years of experience in a Tata Motors commercial vehicle workshop
- Basic knowledge of Tata Motors CV systems and repair processes
- Ability to manage technicians and handle floor coordination
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with workshop safety and quality standards
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Hands-on experience with Tata Motors trucks, tippers, buses, or LCVs
- Exposure to warranty procedures and workshop documentation
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced service environment
