Core Responsibilities
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections, lubricate moving parts, calibrate control units, and align machinery to prevent costly breakdowns.
- Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose mechanical malfunctions, disassemble broken equipment, and replace defective parts (e.g., pumps, valves, bearings, and belts).
- Equipment Installation: Assist with the rigging, assembly, and commissioning of new mechanical systems or heavy machinery.
- Documentation: Keep detailed maintenance logs, track spare parts inventory, and record services performed.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA and local workplace health and safety regulations while using personal protective equipment (PPE).
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Technical Aptitude: Deep understanding of mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment.
- Tool Proficiency: Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and use precision measurement tools like calipers.
- Physical Stamina: Capacity to stand for long periods, lift heavy loads, and work in restrictive environments.
