Role Overview
The Manager – Resource Planning & Governance will support the University's leadership in institutional financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring. The role will focus on enabling data-driven financial decision-making, ensuring optimal allocation of resources, and strengthening financial governance across academic and administrative units.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the preparation of consolidated annual budgets at the University level, including detailed justifications.
- Support capex and opex planning in alignment with institutional priorities and strategic objectives.
- Develop financial models, scenarios, and forecasts to support leadership decision-making.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial MIS, dashboards, and reports for senior leadership.
- Track budget utilization, identify variances and financial risks, and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide analytical insights to support cost management and financial discipline.
- Work closely with academic and administrative units to consolidate financial inputs and resource requirements.
- Act as a financial business partner, supporting planning and optimization of resources across departments.
- Utilize ERP and accounting systems to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Support statutory and internal audits, including implementation of audit recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with institutional financial policies, procedures, and governance requirements.
Educational Qualification
- Postgraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Management, or a related discipline.
Experience
- 6–10 years of relevant experience in budgeting, financial planning, MIS, or financial governance.
- Experience in a university, educational institution, or large multi-unit organization preferred.
- Experience supporting senior leadership through financial analytics and reporting will be an advantage.

Preferred Profile
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning within a university, educational institution, or large multi-unit organization.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
- Experience preparing financial reports and management insights for senior leadership.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
