Background of Organization:
Kalike - An associate organization of Tata Trusts focus initially on ensuring quality education to the rural and deprived children in Yadgir district, Karnataka. Followed with successful engagement in education, Kalike overlaid their services with Livelihood, Early Childhood Development (ECD), WASH, Skill Development interventions as a matrix approach to have better impact in the over quality of life among the community. As the initiatives plans to make long term investments towards improving quality of education, ranging from pre-school to high school education, health, livelihood, WASH and skill development, as part of an end-to-end approach over a period of time. It is, envisaged that such focused engagement would: (a) have visible impact on quality of life for most deprived communities; and (b) provide insights in systemic reform that will have potential to inform the policy.
Kalike – An Associate Organisation of Tata Trusts is looking for an experienced professional to be part of our Skill Development Intervention in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu
Position Purpose:
As a Program Manager- Skill Development, the incumbent is expected to lead the planning, training and delivery of the Skill Development interventions in Karnataka & Tamil Nadu
Designation: Program Manager – Skill Development
Location: Bangalore, Tiruppur
Key Responsibilities
- Overall management and execution of the Skill Development programs of the organisation.
- Manage multiple projects in Skill Development across multiple locations.
- Identify and develop any suitable new projects under Skill Development
- Liaison with the Departments/Institutions and other stakeholders.
- Developing Project Proposal preparation for submission to various donors.
- Business plan design/formulation for Skill Development in various programs.
- Ensure proper implementation of the projects on agreed deliverable.
- Build Network /Channel partner related to Skill Development Sector.
- Managing the project/program team.
- Ensure timely documentation submissions, narrative reports and any other relevant documents as per the Organisation Management and Donors
- Ensure and track the program fund utilization as per the plan with timelines.
· Establish local and regional partnerships with training providers and ensure regular and adequate availability of training opportunities.
· Closely monitor the quality of training and carry out frequent visits to training sites.
· Track and present progress to the management as per requirement
· Perform any other responsibility as assigned by the management/organization
Essential skills/ Attributes
· Experience in Skill Development Sector - Implementation of programs.
· Proactive, resourceful and flexible. Able to lead and manage teams.
· At least 12-15 years of experience in implementation and managing skill development interventions.
· Written and verbal communication skills in Kannada/Tamil, English and Hindi
· Report writing and effective use of MIS office.
· Orientation to National Policies/Schemes of Skill Development, for youths and women.
· Facilitation skills in conducting training and capacity building of the teams.
· Computer proficiency and basic skills to design reports

Qualification
· Post-Graduate (Master’s in Social Development, Rural Management, Economics, Social Sciences and related fields preferable)
· Relevant work experience – 12-15 years
Preferred Age: 40 to 45
Language: English, Kannada & Tamil (Oral and Writing)
