Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced WTP & ETP Manager to oversee the operation, maintenance, and compliance of Water Treatment and Effluent Treatment systems in our distillery unit (ENA & Ethanol manufacturing). The candidate will ensure efficient handling of spent wash, process water, and adherence to environmental norms, including Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of WTP, ETP, RO, MEE, and ZLD systems.
- Handle treatment of spent wash, condensate polishing unit (CPU), and recycling processes.
- Ensure compliance with Pollution Control Board norms and environmental regulations.
- Monitor and control water quality parameters (BOD, COD, TDS, pH, etc.).
- Optimize chemical dosing, steam consumption, and power usage.
- Maintain records for audits, statutory compliance, and inspections.
- Coordinate with production, boiler, and distillation teams.
- Plan preventive and breakdown maintenance of all treatment systems.
- Lead, train, and supervise plant operators and technicians.
- Ensure safe handling of chemicals and adherence to safety standards.
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Chemical Engineering
- Environmental Engineering
- Diploma/Certification in Industrial Water Treatment or Environmental Management is an added advantage.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of distillery effluent treatment (spent wash management)
- Experience with MEE, incineration boiler, bio-methanation, and ZLD systems
- Understanding of CPCB/SPCB environmental norms
- Analytical skills for monitoring BOD, COD, MLSS, TDS, etc.
- Leadership and team handling abilities
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Good documentation and reporting skills
- Familiarity with SCADA/automation systems is preferred
Experience:
- Preferred: Experience in distillery, ethanol, ENA, sugar, or similar process industries
- At least 3–5 years in a managerial or supervisory role
- Hands-on experience with ZLD and large-scale effluent treatment systems is essential
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Experience in ENA/Ethanol distillery operations
- Strong exposure to spent wash concentration and disposal systems
- Knowledge of incineration boilers and biogas plants
- Ability to handle audits, inspections, and regulatory coordination
- Strong decision-making and crisis management skills
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
