Junior Accountant – Transport Company
Location: Chennai
We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join our growing transport and logistics company in Chennai. Candidates with 6 months to 1 year of accounting experience are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain day-to-day accounting records and transactions
- Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payments
- Handle cash, bank, and ledger reconciliations
- Assist with GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance activities
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Support monthly and yearly account closing activities
- Coordinate with vendors, customers, and internal departments regarding accounts-related matters
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 6 months to 1 year of accounting experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of Tally, MS Excel, and accounting principles
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to learn and grow within the organization
