Job Overview
Oversee quality standards for Press and Injection Molding parts to ensure product safety and compliance. Responsible for hands-on shop-floor inspections, GD&T verification, and maintaining IATF-compliant quality documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspection Lifecycle: Conduct Pre-Production, Sample Check (First Article), Line/In-Process, Final, and Pre-Shipment inspections.
- GD&T & Dimensioning: Read engineering drawings to inspect part dimensions using precision instruments, ensuring strict adherence to GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) symbols and tolerances.
- IATF & QC Documentation: Maintain core QC documentation in compliance with IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 standards, including:
- Control Plans & Checklists
- FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
- PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documents
- CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) & 8D reports for rejections
- Production Monitoring: Continually monitor manufacturing lines to detect, log, and resolve defects (e.g., flash, short shots, burrs) early.
Requirements
- Education: ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Strictly required; other qualifications will not be considered).
- Skills: Strong understanding of GD&T symbols, expertise with measuring tools (VMM, Vernier, Micrometer), and familiarity with automotive quality management systems (IATF).
