Key Responsibilities
1. Lead mechanical execution of EV conversion / electrification projects.
2. Handle mechanical integration of battery packs, traction motors, gearboxes, and charging systems.
3. Design battery mounting structures, enclosures, and support frames.
4. Review and develop 2D /3D models, fabrication drawings, and General Assembly (GA) drawings.
5. Conduct design reviews and resolve engineering issues.
6. Perform site surveys and feasibility studies.
7. Coordinate fabrication, machining, welding, and assembly activities.
8. Coordinate with electrical, controls, and software teams for seamless system integration.
9. Manage vendors, subcontractors, and manufacturing partners.
10. Review technical specifications, BOQs, and BOMs, New product specifications and data sheets.
11. Support testing, load testing, inspections, and customer acceptance activities.
12. Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and project standards.
13. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
14. Prepare technical reports, installation manuals, and as-built documentation.
15. Coordinate with customers, consultants, vendors, and internal teams.
16. Manage battery integration and EV system installation.
17. Resolve technical issues arising during project execution.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, fabrication, and assembly processes for EV/electrified systems.
- Hands-on experience in mechanical integration of battery packs, traction motors, gearboxes, and charging systems.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks / AutoCAD / CATIA or equivalent) for design and drawing development.
- Experience in design of battery mounting structures, enclosures, and support frames.
- Good understanding of fabrication processes — machining, welding, and assembly.
- Experience in vendor and subcontractor management, including technical coordination and performance monitoring.
- Ability to review and prepare BOQs, BOMs, and technical specifications.
- Experience in site surveys, feasibility studies, and site installation activities.
- Exposure to testing and inspection processes, including load testing and customer acceptance.
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Good communication and coordination skills to work with customers, consultants, and cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience in EV conversion, electrification, or battery integration projects.
- Exposure to electric vehicle safety and testing standards (e.g., AIS, ARAI, IS, ISO).
- Knowledge of high-voltage system layout and mechanical safety considerations in EV design.
- Experience preparing installation manuals and as-built documentation.
- Exposure to quality inspections, vendor audits, and FAT processes.
Position Details
Location: Talawade
Reporting To: Project Manager
Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹900,000.00 per year
