- Managing all manufacturing operations: This involves focusing on production efficiency, safety, budget control, and quality standards.
- Overseeing DRI, blast furnaces, steel melting shops, and rolling mills: The Plant Head ensures that these key units are functioning smoothly to meet production targets.
- Developing processes to improve productivity: Continuous improvement methodologies are essential for enhancing operational efficiency.
- Monitoring staff performance: The Plant Head evaluates and develops workforce capabilities to drive productivity.
- Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations: This includes conducting safety training and factory compliance with all safety regulations.
- Managing budgets and controlling operating costs: The Plant Head develops and manages plant budgets to optimize fuel and power consumption.
- Leading and developing workforce capabilities: The Plant Head recruits, manages, and develops plant staff to achieve organizational objectives.
- The Plant Head must possess a deep understanding of steel manufacturing processes, technical knowledge, and proven experience leading large teams. They should also have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Management.
