Job Summary
TNPC Ventures is looking for a Site Supervisor (Civil) to manage and supervise day-to-day civil construction activities at project sites. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in site supervision, construction execution, civil works, contractor management, manpower coordination, quality control, quantity estimation, material management, and project monitoring.
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that construction activities are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor daily civil construction and site execution activities.
- Coordinate and manage site engineers, supervisors, contractors, subcontractors, skilled workers, and labour teams.
- Ensure construction work is executed as per approved drawings, structural drawings, architectural drawings, specifications, BOQ, and project schedule.
- Monitor activities including excavation, earthwork, PCC, RCC, reinforcement, shuttering/formwork, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, flooring, tiling, painting, concrete works, and finishing works.
- Check line, level, alignment, dimensions, elevations, and workmanship at site.
- Read and interpret civil, structural, architectural, and construction drawings.
- Coordinate with civil engineers, architects, consultants, contractors, vendors, and project management teams.
- Monitor daily manpower deployment and productivity.
- Prepare and maintain daily progress reports, site reports, work completion reports, material reports, and manpower reports.
- Track project progress against planned schedules and milestones.
- Identify delays, site issues, material requirements, and manpower requirements and escalate them to the concerned management.
- Ensure proper availability and utilization of construction materials, tools, equipment, and resources.
- Check incoming construction materials for quantity and basic quality requirements.
- Monitor RCC, reinforcement steel, cement, sand, aggregate, blocks/bricks, tiles, construction chemicals, and other building materials.
- Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of assigned work.
- Monitor quantity, measurements, wastage, productivity, and material consumption.
- Assist with BOQ measurements, quantity take-off, billing measurements, rate analysis, and contractor bill verification where required.
- Ensure construction activities comply with approved method statements, specifications, quality standards, and safety procedures.
- Coordinate with the QA/QC team for quality inspections, concrete works, reinforcement checks, shuttering inspections, and finishing inspections.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and safe working conditions at the construction site.
- Identify construction defects, quality issues, and deviations and ensure corrective action.
- Maintain proper site records, checklists, inspection records, and documentation.
- Coordinate concrete pouring, material deliveries, equipment deployment, and other critical site activities.
- Assist project management in resolving technical and site-related issues.
- Ensure work is completed within the required time, cost, quality, and safety parameters.
- Perform other construction/site supervision duties assigned by management.

Educational Qualification
- Diploma / ITI / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Candidates with relevant hands-on construction experience may also be considered depending on project requirements.
Experience
- 2–6 years of experience in civil construction/site supervision preferred.
- Experience in building construction, residential projects, commercial projects, villas, apartments, industrial buildings, infrastructure, or general construction will be an advantage.
- Freshers with strong practical knowledge and relevant qualifications may be considered for suitable positions.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Strong knowledge of civil construction methods and site execution.
- Good understanding of RCC, shuttering, reinforcement, masonry, plastering, finishing, and general building works.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
- Good leadership, communication, coordination, problem-solving, and team-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple site activities.
- Strong focus on quality, safety, productivity, timelines, and workmanship.
- Willingness to work at construction/project sites and coordinate with workers and contractors.
- Candidates who can join immediately or within a short notice period will be preferred.
