Job Title: Purchase Manager

Job Summary
The Purchase Manager is responsible for planning, sourcing, negotiating, and procuring all raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, machinery spare parts, and services required for paint manufacturing. The role ensures uninterrupted production by maintaining optimum inventory levels, achieving cost savings, ensuring quality compliance, and building strong supplier relationships.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement & Sourcing
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
- Source and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, packaging materials, chemicals, and engineering items.
- Obtain competitive quotations and negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and monitor timely deliveries.
- Ensure uninterrupted supply of materials for production.
Vendor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and approve new vendors.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers.
- Conduct periodic supplier performance evaluations.
- Resolve supplier-related quality and delivery issues.
Inventory Management
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder points.
- Coordinate with Stores and Production to maintain optimum stock levels.
- Prevent stock-outs and minimize excess inventory.
- Monitor slow-moving and obsolete inventory.
Cost Control
- Negotiate annual contracts and long-term supply agreements.
- Identify cost reduction opportunities without compromising quality.
- Track market price trends of chemicals, pigments, solvents, resins, additives, and packaging materials.
Coordination
- Work closely with Production, Quality Assurance, Planning, Finance, and Stores.
- Coordinate with logistics teams for timely transportation and receipt of materials.
- Ensure procurement aligns with production schedules.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
