Job Description
Performs various maintenance and technical support tasks for products such as equipment, embedded systems and subsystems, and software, both at the customer's and the customer's premises. Installs, operates, maintains, calibrates, upgrades, and repairs equipment. Analyze and evaluate products and their performance. Maintains effective communication and relationships with customers and provides on-site training.
Responsibilities
- To keep up to date and follow all Quality System procedures related to this position, which may affect the quality of the products or services provided to our customers.
- Visit the customers' facilities to carry out the installation, calibration and repair of the equipment offered by the company.
- Complete on-site calibration forms and email them to customers within 24 hours. Ensure up-to-date, high-level knowledge of the products served.
- Collaborate closely with sales and service teams, as well as customers, to understand their service needs.
- Collaborate closely with the service planning team for territory management and optimize monthly scheduling whenever possible.
- Maintain a customer-centric approach and act with urgency in relation to performance and problem-solving, emphasizing innovation and the use of technology.
- Interact effectively with the client through good interpersonal relationships, asking questions, listening carefully and providing relevant information. Identify problems, difficulties, or opportunities and determine the necessary actions.
- Order and maintain an adequate inventory of truck parts, in order to replace defective parts in the field when necessary.
- Manage the tools and equipment necessary to ensure their proper functioning and that they meet the company's quality standards.
- Multitasking to complete responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner.
- Book travel arrangements, including flights and accommodation, based on planned visits to clients.
- Attend trade shows, presentations, and meetings as required. Submit expense reports on time. Required Travel: Frequent travel is required.
Experience Required
- Medical device expertise.
- Graduated from an accredited Electronics Technician/Technologist program.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience as an electronic workshop technician.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience as a field service technician.
- Spanish is required.
- Proficiency in spoken English is an asset.
