Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Business Development:
- Achieve Sales Targets: Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for design services and product sales (e.g., furniture, materials, fixtures).
- Lead Generation & Qualification: Proactively identify and engage potential clients (residential or commercial) through networking, referrals, and following up on company leads.
- Client Consultation & Pitching: Conduct in-depth consultations to understand client needs, preferences, budget, and project scope. Present and persuasively pitch design proposals, product recommendations, and contracts.
- Negotiation & Closing: Expertly negotiate pricing, scope, and timelines to close sales deals while ensuring profitability and client satisfaction.
- Client Relationship Management (CRM): Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, leading to repeat business and referrals. Utilize CRM tools to track sales activities and client data.
2. Interior Design & Planning:
- Conceptual Design: Develop innovative and functional design concepts that align with the client's vision, budget, and brand (if commercial).
- Design Deliverables: Create and present comprehensive design plans, including floor plans, 2D/3D renderings, mood boards, material palettes, and furniture layouts.
- Material and Product Selection: Research, select, and specify all materials, furnishings, fixtures, and finishes (FF&E), considering aesthetics, durability, cost, and lead times.
- Budget & Specification Management: Develop detailed project specifications and accurate budget estimates. Adjust designs as necessary to meet budget constraints without compromising quality.
- Adherence to Standards: Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, safety standards, and ADA requirements.
3. Project Management & Coordination:
- Project Handoff: Clearly communicate design specifications, material details, and client expectations to the project management and installation teams.
- Vendor and Supplier Liaison: Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, including obtaining quotes, placing orders, and coordinating deliveries to ensure project timelines are met.
- Quality Control: Conduct site visits as needed to oversee installation, ensuring the final execution aligns with the approved design and quality standards.
- Post-Sale Follow-up: Conduct final walkthroughs and ensure complete client satisfaction to facilitate final payment and garner testimonials.
