A Senior Electrical Design Engineer (MEP) shall lead the design, coordination, and delivery of electrical systems for building projects such as commercial complexes, hospitals, data centers, residential towers, airports, and industrial facilities. The role combines technical expertise, project leadership, client coordination, and compliance with international codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Electrical System Design
Lead the design of LV & MV power distribution systems
Design of transformers, switchgear, MCCs, panel boards
Electrical load calculations and demand analysis
Short circuit, voltage drop, and protection coordination studies
UPS systems, generators, and backup power solutions
Earthing & lightning protection systems
2. Lighting & Small Power Systems
Interior and exterior lighting design (lux level calculations)
Emergency lighting systems
Small power layouts and socket distribution
Energy-efficient lighting solutions (LED, smart controls)

5. Coordination & Project Management
Coordinate with Mechanical, Plumbing, Civil, and Architectural teams
Attend client and consultant meetings
Ensure compliance with local & international codes (IEC, NEC, NFPA, BS, local authority regulations)
Provide technical support during construction and site inspections
6. Leadership & Mentoring
Guide junior engineers and draftsmen
Review design outputs for accuracy and quality
Ensure project delivery within timelines and budget
