Job Title: Pharmacist / Pharmacy Assistant – Apollo Pharmacy
Role Overview
Apollo Pharmacy is seeking a qualified and licensed Pharmacist to ensure the safe, accurate, and compliant dispensing of medications while delivering exceptional customer care. The role is critical in maintaining operational excellence and providing reliable healthcare guidance to patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medications accurately in accordance with established safety standards
- Review prescriptions to verify dosage, identify potential drug interactions, and ensure overall appropriateness
- Provide clear and effective counseling to customers on medication usage, side effects, storage, and general health practices
- Ensure strict compliance with all regulatory requirements, including the Drugs & Cosmetics Act and Pharmacy Act
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, billing, and related documentation
- Manage inventory efficiently, including stock replenishment, proper storage, and monitoring of expiry dates
- Coordinate with doctors and healthcare professionals for prescription clarifications when necessary
- Address customer queries and concerns with professionalism, empathy, and clarity
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization within the pharmacy
- Support and participate in healthcare initiatives such as health camps, screenings, and vaccination drives
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.Pharm) or Diploma (D.Pharm) in Pharmacy from a recognized institution
- Valid registration with the State Pharmacy Council
- 0–5 years of relevant experience; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
- Prior experience in an organized retail pharmacy environment is an advantage
