Job Summary:
An AC Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. The technician ensures HVAC systems operate efficiently, safely, and according to industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC equipment.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on cooling systems.
- Check and recharge refrigerants as required.
- Replace defective components such as compressors, motors, thermostats, and fans.
- Test system performance and ensure optimal efficiency.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and wiring diagrams.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Respond to emergency repair requests and service calls.
- Maintain service records and prepare maintenance reports.
- Advise customers on proper system operation and maintenance.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Diploma, ITI, or technical certification in HVAC, Refrigeration, or a related field.
- Experience in installation and maintenance of air conditioning systems.
- Knowledge of HVAC controls, electrical systems, and refrigeration cycles.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and customer service abilities.
- Physical fitness and ability to work in various environments.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and handling refrigerants.
Preferred Experience
- 1–5 years of experience as an AC/HVAC Technician.
- Experience with split ACs, central air conditioning systems, chillers, and VRF/VRV systems.
- Certification in refrigerant handling or HVAC safety practices.
Working Conditions
- Work may involve indoor and outdoor environments.
- May require climbing ladders, lifting equipment, and working in confined spaces.
- Availability for overtime, weekends, or emergency service calls may be required.
Pay: ₹8,361.99 - ₹30,000.00 per month
