Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Java API Operations Engineer who can bridge the gap between development and infrastructure. The candidate will ensure that complex J2EE systems and API operations run efficiently, securely, and seamlessly.
The role involves designing functional solutions, assessing the impact of technical and infrastructure changes, guiding developers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop efficient, functional, and maintainable solutions for active projects.
- Assess the impact of infrastructure and technical changes across the environment.
- Prepare comprehensive design and development documentation.
- Participate actively in design and code reviews.
- Guide and oversee developers to ensure successful project and operational delivery.
- Collaborate with operations managers, project managers, BSAs, designers, and developers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Understand internal clients’ business models, existing applications, supporting infrastructure, and standard design patterns.
- Provide accurate development and infrastructure estimates aligned with established architectural solutions.
- Ensure all developed solutions comply with internal information security policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 3–6 years of hands-on experience developing complex applications using the J2EE framework.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and core quality concepts.
- Ability to explain technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Java 1.8 and J2EE
- Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Spring Batch
- SOA, SOAP, and REST web services
- Hibernate and JPA
- JUnit 4/5 and mocking frameworks
- XML, SQL, and IBM DB2
- Maven and Gradle
- Git with Bitbucket
- Jenkins and SonarQube
- Tomcat, WebLogic, or Liberty WebSphere
- JIRA
- Experience building or supporting microservices will be an advantage.
Pay: Up to ₹1,800,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
