Job Title: Head - Planning & Distribution

A reputed market-leading manufacturing organization is looking for a seasoned supply chain professional to lead its planning and distribution function. The role will be responsible for ensuring efficient product availability, optimizing inventory across the network, and driving seamless coordination between sales, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement planning strategies to support business growth and improve operational efficiency.
- Lead forecasting and replenishment activities to ensure optimum product availability across markets.
- Drive collaboration between commercial, manufacturing, procurement, and logistics teams to balance demand and supply.
- Monitor inventory performance across the supply chain and identify opportunities to improve working capital and stock productivity.
- Strengthen distribution networks and ensure timely fulfillment of customer requirements across multiple channels.
- Establish performance metrics, review operational effectiveness, and implement process improvements.
- Leverage technology, analytics, and digital tools to enhance visibility, planning accuracy, and decision-making.
- Support business expansion initiatives, product introductions, and network optimization projects.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field; an MBA would be an advantage.
- Significant experience in supply chain planning, logistics, distribution, and inventory management within a large consumer-focused or manufacturing organization.
- Strong understanding of integrated business planning, forecasting methodologies, and supply chain optimization.
- Exposure to enterprise systems and data visualization tools with the ability to use insights for business decision-making.
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and managing complex stakeholder environments.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to drive transformation initiatives.
