We are seeking a highly motivated Fundamental Analyst to join our investment team. The candidate will conduct in-depth research on listed companies, industries, and macroeconomic trends to support investment decisions. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with portfolio managers and gain exposure to institutional equity investing.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed fundamental and business research on listed companies across sectors.
- Analyze financial statements, annual reports, investor presentations, concall transcripts, and regulatory filings.
- Ask meaningful and insightful questions during concalls with management, CFOs, and investor relations teams.
- Demonstrate strong numerical ability, analytical thinking, and the ability to connect business and financial dots.
- Think like an astute investor, VC, or business owner.
- Build and maintain financial models, earnings forecasts, and valuation models.
- Track industry developments, competitive dynamics, and key business drivers.
- Prepare investment notes, initiation reports, result updates, and management meeting summaries.
- Monitor portfolio company checklists, macro indicators, and leading indicators to identify emerging investment opportunities.
- Attend earnings calls, investor conferences, analyst meets, and company interactions.
- Track macroeconomic indicators, government policies, and sector-specific developments.
- Assist portfolio managers in investment decision-making and portfolio monitoring.
- Maintain research databases and financial models.
Mandatory Skills and Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Economics, Engineering, MBA, or a related field.
- CFA Level II cleared; MBA in Finance will be an added advantage.
- Strong academic record, ideally with marks above 90% in HSC and SSC.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and valuation techniques.
- Knowledge of DCF, relative valuation, and financial modeling.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Excellent proficiency in Excel, macros, PowerPoint, and financial databases.
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to explain ideas, businesses, companies, and sectors clearly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Experience Required
- 9+ years of experience in equity research, investment research, brokerage, PMS, AIF, mutual funds, consulting, or related fields.
Pay: ₹250,756.18 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year
