Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced AGM – Purchase to lead procurement operations, vendor management, strategic sourcing, and cost optimization initiatives. The ideal candidate should have strong exposure to procurement functions within the Steel Manufacturing Industry and possess excellent negotiation, supplier management, and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
Purchase Management
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement of materials and services.
- Manage supplier relationships and contract negotiations to achieve optimal commercial terms.
- Review and approve purchase orders, service orders, and procurement proposals.
- Conduct analysis of comparative statements and recommend suitable sourcing decisions.
- Drive vendor development programs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Establish and monitor Annual Rate Contracts (ARC) for recurring procurement requirements.
- Ensure uninterrupted availability of raw materials, consumables, spares, and services required for plant operations.
- Monitor procurement performance related to cost, quality, and delivery schedules.
Team & Department Management
- Lead and manage the procurement team to support business objectives.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to team members.
- Monitor departmental KPIs including procurement cycle time, supplier performance, and cost savings.
- Prepare procurement budgets, forecasts, and expenditure plans.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and procurement procedures.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Desired Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Procurement, or related discipline will be preferred.
Experience Required
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Procurement and Purchasing functions.
- Mandatory experience in the Steel Manufacturing Industry.

Mandatory Requirement

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
