Job Summary
The Counter Sales Staff is responsible for greeting customers, understanding their requirements, recommending suitable products, processing sales transactions, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. They also help maintain product displays and inventory records.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist customers at the sales counter.
- Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products or services.
- Provide accurate information about products, pricing, promotions, and availability.
- Process sales transactions, including cash, card, and digital payments.
- Prepare invoices, receipts, and other sales documentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales counter and display areas.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to management.
- Assist with receiving, labeling, and arranging merchandise.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally.
- Achieve individual and store sales targets.
- Follow company policies and procedures related to sales and customer service.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous retail or counter sales experience is preferred.
- Basic computer and billing/POS system knowledge.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic mathematical and cash-handling skills.
