Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled and energetic Solar Installation Technician to join our growing renewable energy team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on residential, commercial, and industrial roofs or ground mounts. Key Responsibilities
- System Installation: Layout, assemble, and install solar modules, panels, structural mounts, racking, and ballasts safely on rooftops or ground structures.
- Electrical Wiring: Handle electrical wiring, connect PV panels to inverters, set up charge controllers, batteries, and connect the system to the main grid.
- Testing & Commissioning: Test solar systems using multimeters and diagnostic tools to ensure the system is operating efficiently and safely.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance, site inspections, and troubleshoot/repair faulty components in existing solar setups.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly follow all safety guidelines, including using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) like safety harnesses, helmets, and gloves while working at heights.
Requirements & Skills
- Technical Knowledge: Proven experience as a Solar Technician or Electrician. Solid understanding of AC/DC circuits and electrical schematics.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 25 kg), climb ladders, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. No fear of heights.
- Tools Proficiency: Experience using hand and power tools (drills, wire strippers, multi-meters, etc.).
- Mobility: Possession of a valid two-wheeler driving license and a vehicle is highly preferred for local site visits.
- Soft Skills: Good communication skills and a customer-centric attitude.
