- System Design: Create and review detailed electrical schematics, layout drawings, and wiring harnesses using CAD tools.
- Research & Development: Select appropriate electrical components, conduct simulations, and build prototypes to verify critical design parameters.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all electrical systems comply with global engineering codes and regulatory standards (e.g., IEC, NEC, UL).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical and software engineering teams, manufacturing personnel, and suppliers to integrate designs and resolve issues.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including Bill of Materials (BOMs), cable schedules, device lists, and design revisions. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]
Essential Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
- Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with electrical design software like ( 2D & 3D )AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical, ETAP, or MATLAB.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical fundamentals, power distribution, control systems, and low-voltage or high-voltage system design.
