Job Purpose
To assist technicians in carrying out periodic maintenance, repairs, inspections, and pre-delivery activities on Royal Enfield motorcycles while ensuring quality workmanship, safety, and timely service delivery in accordance with dealership and Royal Enfield standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesVehicle Service & Repair
- Assist senior technicians in routine servicing and repairs.
- Perform engine oil, oil filter, air filter, and spark plug replacement.
- Assist in brake, clutch, suspension, and chain maintenance.
- Support electrical troubleshooting and component replacement.
- Carry out washing and final inspection before vehicle delivery.
Vehicle Inspection
- Perform basic mechanical and visual inspections.
- Identify wear, damage, and service requirements.
- Inform the Senior Technician of any additional repair requirements.
- Ensure all repairs meet Royal Enfield quality standards.
Workshop Operations
- Maintain cleanliness of the work bay and workshop.
- Properly use and maintain workshop tools and equipment.
- Follow safety procedures and wear prescribed PPE.
- Dispose of waste oil and parts as per environmental guidelines.
Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI)
- Assist in conducting Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) for new motorcycles.
- Check fluid levels, tyre pressure, battery, lights, controls, and fasteners.
- Ensure motorcycles are ready for customer delivery.
Documentation
- Update job card activities as instructed.
- Record parts replaced and work completed.
- Report defects or warranty-related observations to the supervisor.
Customer Support
- Explain basic maintenance practices to customers when required.
- Support technicians during vehicle handover.
- Maintain a professional and customer-friendly attitude.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Service jobs completed per day.
- First-time repair quality.
- Productivity and efficiency.
- Rework percentage.
- Adherence to service turnaround time (TAT).
- Workshop safety compliance.
- Tool and equipment maintenance.
- Customer satisfaction support.
Qualification
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering.
- Royal Enfield technical certification is an added advantage.
Experience
- 0–2 years of experience in a two-wheeler workshop.
- Freshers with ITI/Diploma may also be considered.
- Experience with Royal Enfield motorcycles is preferred.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of motorcycle servicing and maintenance.
- Understanding of engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
- Ability to use workshop tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Basic computer knowledge for DMS/job card updates.
Working Conditions
- Work in an authorized Royal Enfield dealership workshop.
- Stand for extended periods and lift motorcycle components when required.
- Follow workshop safety and quality standards at all times.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
