Job Summary:
The Certification Executive – Organic Compliance will be responsible for managing end-to-end organic certification activities across the manufacturing and processing facility. The role includes ensuring complete compliance with NPOP, USDA NOP, EU Organic Regulations, and other applicable standards from raw material inward to finished goods dispatch, including APEDA TraceNet operations, Transaction Certificate (TC) management, batch traceability, production compliance, documentation, and certification audits.
Educational Qualification
- B.Sc. Agriculture / M.Sc. Agriculture
- B.Tech Food Technology / M.Sc. Food Science
- Biotechnology / Microbiology
- Quality Assurance or equivalent qualification
- Additional certification in Organic Standards, HACCP, ISO 22000, Food Safety, or Internal Auditor will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 4–5 years of relevant experience in organic food processing, certification, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience in certified organic food manufacturing or processing units is mandatory.
- Experience in export-oriented food manufacturing will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
1. Organic Certification Management
- Ensure compliance with NPOP, USDA NOP, EU Organic Regulations, and customer-specific organic requirements.
- Coordinate with certification agencies for inspections, surveillance audits, renewals, and certification updates.
- Maintain certification validity and statutory compliance.
2. Raw Material (Inward) Compliance
- Verify supplier Organic Scope Certificates and Transaction Certificates (TCs).
- Ensure only approved certified organic raw materials are received.
- Verify inward documentation, lot details, and traceability records.
- Coordinate with Procurement and Stores for compliant inward operations.
3. Production & Processing Compliance
- Monitor manufacturing activities as per organic certification requirements.
- Create and maintain production batches in ERP and traceability systems.
- Verify Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) and Batch Packing Records (BPR).
- Monitor material consumption, production yields, wastage, and reconciliation.
- Ensure segregation of organic, in-conversion, and conventional materials.
- Verify cleaning and changeover records before production.
4. Batch Creation & Traceability
- Create production batches with complete lot traceability.
- Maintain batch-wise inward, production, processing, and packing records.
- Ensure complete forward and backward traceability.
- Conduct mass balance verification and stock reconciliation.
5. Finished Goods Compliance
- Verify finished product labeling as per organic regulations.
- Ensure packaging materials comply with certification requirements.
- Approve finished goods for dispatch after compliance verification.
- Maintain finished goods inventory records.
6. Transaction Certificate (TC) Management
- Generate inward and outward Transaction Certificates.
- Manage APEDA TraceNet transactions.
- Coordinate with certification bodies for TC issuance.
- Ensure timely documentation for domestic and export consignments.
7. Documentation & Record Management
- Maintain certification documents and statutory records.
- Manage:
- Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR)
- Batch Packing Records (BPR)
- Stock Registers
- Processing Records
- Yield Reports
- Traceability Records
- Cleaning & Sanitation Records
- Dispatch Documentation
- Maintain electronic and physical documentation as per document control procedures.
8. Audit & Compliance Management
- Coordinate internal, customer, and certification audits.
- Prepare audit documentation.
- Address non-conformities and implement CAPA.
- Conduct internal compliance inspections.
- Ensure continuous audit readiness.
9. Warehouse & Inventory Compliance
- Ensure proper segregation and identification of organic inventory.
- Verify warehouse compliance with certification requirements.
- Conduct stock verification and inventory reconciliation.
- Monitor storage conditions and product integrity.
10. Cross Functional Coordination
