Job Summary
The QC Head will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining quality standards across all stages of production, from raw material inspection to final garment packing. The role involves leading the quality team, ensuring product compliance, reducing defects, improving processes, and maintaining customer quality requirements for intimate wear and apparel products.
Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Management
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards for all products.
- Ensure compliance with approved specifications, measurements, workmanship standards, and quality requirements.
- Monitor quality performance throughout cutting, stitching, finishing, and packing processes.
- Conduct regular audits of production lines and quality systems.
In-Process Quality Control
- Establish checkpoints at cutting, sewing, finishing, and packing stages.
- Ensure inline and end-line inspections are carried out effectively.
- Identify defects, analyze root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Work closely with production teams to reduce rejections and rework.
Incoming Material Inspection
- Ensure inspection of fabrics, elastics, trims, accessories, and packaging materials.
- Verify GSM, shade, width, shrinkage, color fastness, and other quality parameters as required.
Final Inspection & Shipment Quality
- Ensure final garments meet approved specifications before dispatch.
- Monitor AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) standards where applicable.
- Approve shipment readiness based on quality compliance.
Team Management
- Lead, train, and supervise QC inspectors and quality supervisors.
- Conduct regular skill development and quality awareness programs.
- Set KPIs and monitor team performance.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain quality records, inspection reports, rejection reports, and corrective action reports.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality performance reports for management.
- Track defect trends and recommend improvement actions.
Continuous Improvement
- Drive initiatives to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
- Reduce rejection rates, customer complaints, and quality-related losses.
- Participate in new product development and quality planning activities.

Required Qualifications
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Textile Technology, Apparel Manufacturing, Fashion Technology, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Additional certifications in Quality Management will be an advantage.
Experience Required
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in garment manufacturing quality control.
- At least 2-3 years in a leadership role managing quality teams.
- Experience in innerwear, lingerie, shapewear, activewear, or knitwear manufacturing preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of garment construction and sewing processes.
- Understanding of knitted fabrics, elastics, trims, and intimate wear products.
- Knowledge of measurement standards, AQL, and quality systems.
- Root Cause Analysis and Problem-Solving skills.
- Leadership and team management capabilities.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and quality reporting tools.
