Job Description – Occupational Therapist
Position: Occupational Therapist (OT)
Location: Lifebridge Rehabilitation Center
Experience: Prior experience working in a Child Development Center (CDC) or multidisciplinary pediatric therapy setup is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized Occupational Therapy services to children with developmental, sensory, motor, and functional difficulties.
- Conduct internal observations and informal assessments of each child to identify their strengths, challenges, sensory needs, and functional difficulties.
- Develop individualized therapy goals and intervention plans based on the child’s needs and clinical observations.
- Have strong knowledge of Sensory Integration, Sensory Processing, Fine Motor Skills, Gross Motor Skills, Visual-Motor Integration, Bilateral Coordination, Handwriting Readiness, Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), and functional skills.
- Plan and implement appropriate sensory and therapeutic activities to support the child’s overall development and independence.
- Monitor and document each child’s progress and modify therapy goals and intervention strategies as required.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including daily therapy notes, assessment observations, progress reports, therapy goals, and intervention plans.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding the child’s progress and provide appropriate home-based activities and strategies.
- Collaborate with Speech Therapists, Behaviour Therapists, Special Educators, Psychologists, Physiotherapists, and other professionals for holistic child development.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
- Identify sensory and functional concerns through regular observation and communicate relevant findings to the multidisciplinary team.
- Maintain a safe, structured, engaging, and child-friendly therapeutic environment.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of OT and sensory equipment.
- Maintain professional ethics, confidentiality, and high standards of clinical practice.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a Child Development Center or pediatric multidisciplinary therapy setup.
- Strong knowledge of sensory processing and sensory-based interventions.
- Good understanding of pediatric Occupational Therapy principles and developmental milestones.
- Strong observation, clinical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent documentation and report-writing abilities.
- Good communication and parent counselling skills.
- Punctual, responsible, organized, and professional in their approach.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Patient, compassionate, and child-friendly personality.
- Willingness to continuously learn and upgrade clinical knowledge.

A dedicated and experienced Pediatric Occupational Therapist who can independently observe and assess children, identify sensory and functional needs, plan individualized interventions, maintain excellent documentation, communicate effectively with parents, and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support the child’s overall development and independence.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
