About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Ticket Booking Agent who is IATA certified and experienced in handling domestic and international travel bookings. The ideal candidate should have expertise in airline ticketing, fare calculations, itinerary planning, and reservation management using GDS systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle domestic and international flight bookings and reservations
- Issue, reissue, cancel, and refund airline tickets through GDS systems
- Assist customers with travel planning, itinerary creation, and fare quotations
- Coordinate with airlines and travel partners for booking confirmations and schedule updates
- Ensure compliance with airline policies, IATA regulations, and travel procedures
- Support customers with travel documentation and basic visa-related guidance
- Resolve ticketing issues, cancellations, and customer concerns efficiently
- Maintain accurate booking records and prepare daily operational reports
- Provide excellent customer support throughout the booking process
- Stay updated with airline fare rules, travel advisories, and industry trends
Required Skills & Qualifications
- IATA certification is mandatory
- 1–3 years of experience in airline ticketing or travel booking
- Hands-on experience with GDS systems such as Amadeus, Galileo, or Sabre
- Strong knowledge of domestic and international travel operations
- Understanding of fare rules, ticket reissuance, refunds, and itinerary management
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple bookings and work under pressure
- Proficiency in MS Office and travel management software
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Nice to Have
- Experience handling corporate travel accounts
- Knowledge of visa processing and travel insurance
- Familiarity with CRM tools and backend travel systems
- Additional certification in travel and tourism
