Airline Partnership Manager or Airline Commercial Manager
Job Summary :-
The Airfare Contracting & Airline Relations Manager is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with domestic and international airlines, negotiating special fares and commercial agreements, securing group and corporate rates, monitoring airline promotions, and ensuring the company receives the best available pricing and incentives to increase sales and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with airline sales managers and key account managers.
- Negotiate airline fares, commissions, PLB (Productivity Linked Bonus), overrides, and incentive agreements.
- Secure special promotional, corporate, group, and consolidator fares.
- Identify opportunities for exclusive airline campaigns and joint marketing activities.
- Negotiate better payment terms and credit facilities with airlines.
- Analyze airfare trends and recommend competitive pricing strategies.
- Coordinate with the sales and reservations teams to maximize airline revenue.
- Attend airline networking events, trade fairs, and travel industry meetings.
- Monitor competitor pricing and airline market movements.
- Prepare monthly reports on airline sales performance, profitability, and negotiated savings.
- Ensure compliance with IATA, BSP, airline policies, and company procedures.
- Work with GDS providers (Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre, Travelport) and airline portals.
Skills Required
- Strong negotiation and commercial skills.
- Excellent relationship management.
- Knowledge of airline fare construction and ticketing.
- Experience with IATA/BSP processes.
- Understanding of GDS systems.
- Analytical mindset.
- Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities.
Preferred Experience
- 5–10+ years in airline sales, airline account management, or travel distribution.
- Existing relationships with airlines such as IndiGo, Air India, Akasa Air, SpiceJet, Emirates, Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways, Malaysia Airlines, etc.
- Experience working with a Travel Management Company (TMC), OTA, consolidator, or an airline.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
