Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Duties
- Conduct initial patient assessments, history taking, and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and manage patients under the guidance of consultants and senior physicians.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as directed.
- Attend inpatient wards, outpatient departments (OPD), emergency rooms, and critical care areas as assigned.
- Prescribe medications and investigations as per hospital policies and medical guidelines.
- Perform routine clinical procedures within the scope of practice and competency.
- Assist consultants during rounds and specialty procedures.
Emergency & Critical Care
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and code situations.
- Provide immediate stabilization and emergency management of critically ill patients.
- Participate in emergency department duties and casualty services.
- Assist in resuscitation and life-support procedures.
Patient Care & Communication
- Explain diagnoses, treatment plans, and procedures to patients and their families.
- Obtain informed consent when required.
- Ensure compassionate, patient-centered care and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Coordinate with nursing staff and allied healthcare professionals for effective patient management.
Documentation & Records
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
- Prepare admission notes, discharge summaries, progress notes, referral notes, and death summaries when required.
- Document all clinical findings, treatment plans, and patient interactions in the Hospital Information System (HIS) or medical records.
Quality & Compliance
- Follow hospital policies, infection control practices, and clinical protocols.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits.
- Report adverse events, medication errors, and patient safety concerns.
- Ensure compliance with applicable medical, legal, and ethical standards.
Academic & Professional Development
- Participate in Continuing Medical Education (CME), training programs, and departmental meetings.
- Attend case discussions, seminars, and clinical presentations.
- Keep updated with current medical practices and evidence-based guidelines.
QualificationsEducation
- MBBS from a recognized medical institution.
- Completion of compulsory rotating internship.
Registration
- Valid registration with the applicable Medical Council/National Medical Commission (NMC) or State Medical Council.
Experience
- Fresh MBBS graduates may apply.
- Prior hospital or residency experience is preferred.
