Job Summary
A leading Ferro Alloys manufacturer is hiring an experienced Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor for its integrated Ferro Alloys Plant located at Byrnihat, Meghalaya.
The candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and reliability of all plant vehicles and mobile equipment, including preventive and breakdown maintenance, workshop management, spare parts planning, fleet availability, and ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective vehicle operations to support uninterrupted plant production.

Key Responsibilities:
- Execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of all plant vehicles, including Dumpers, Tippers, Hydra, Excavators, Forklifts, Cranes and utility vehicles etc.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and transmission-related faults.
- Coordinate repairs and overhauls of engines, gearboxes, axles, braking systems, steering systems, and hydraulic components.
- Develop preventive maintenance schedules based on OEM recommendations and operating hours.
- Monitor equipment health and analyse recurring failures.
- Raise material requisitions and coordinate with procurement.
- Ensure availability and calibration of tools, lifting equipment etc
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety inspections.
- Monitor fuel consumption, lubricant usage, tyre life, battery performance, and operating costs.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Automobile Engineering or equivalent.
- 5–10 years of experience in vehicle maintenance, preferably in Ferro Silicon / Ferro Alloys.
- Hands-on experience maintaining heavy earthmoving equipment and industrial vehicle maintenance.
