AGM - Production Planning Control
Roles & Responsibilities
Develop and manage production plans based on order priorities, merchant commitments, plant capacity, and operational constraints. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to ensure efficient utilization of machines and manpower, balanced loading across processing stages, and prevention of production congestion or capacity imbalances.
Continuously track work-in-progress (WIP) across all stages of processing to ensure orders move smoothly through the production cycle. Identify delays or bottlenecks early and initiate corrective actions in coordination with the production team.
Maintain constant communication with the AGM – Production to ensure production plans are executed as scheduled and operational constraints are addressed promptly. In case of production disruptions or urgent merchant requirements, revise production schedules and communicate revised priorities to the production team.
Ensure sample submission timelines are met by closely tracking sample submission schedules, prioritizing orders accordingly, and coordinating with production and quality teams to ensure samples or production lots are completed within the required timeframe.
Monitor order progress against planned schedules and ensure delays are minimized through proactive planning and coordination. Provide clear visibility of order status and production progress to management and merchandising teams.
Oversee the preparation and review of production planning reports, order tracking reports, WIP reports, and delivery status updates. Ensure these reports enable management to track plant performance and verify commitments to merchants and customers are met.
Ensure efficient capacity planning and utilization of plant resources by aligning production plans with machine capability, production cycle times, and operational efficiency. Continuously review planning assumptions to improve accuracy and reliability of production schedules.
Ensure production readiness by verifying availability of materials, dyes, chemicals, and other necessary inputs before production is scheduled. Coordinate closely with stores and procurement teams to prevent production disruptions due to material shortages.
Drive improvements in production planning systems, reporting mechanisms, and operational coordination to strengthen overall plant planning capabilities.
Ensure effective coordination with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure finished goods are delivered as per shipment schedules and merchant commitments.
Reporting to Plant Head for a textiles processing unit.
Qualification
BE Production / Industrial Engineering
Experience
18+ years experience in PPC for Textiles Processing units
Work Location
Perundurai, Erode.
Pay: ₹150,000.00 - ₹200,000.00 per month
