Role Purpose
We are looking for a Planner with Project Controls experience for our P&DS team. The role is primarily the delivery of project management services (Planning and controls) related to the schedule management, tracking, reporting, analysis sequencing/phasing, co-ordination and construction of the phased and timely delivery of a large-scale multi-asset mixed use development incorporating a significant tunnel and road gyratory.
What this job involves
Maintaining the schedule baselines and ensure mechanisms are in place to monitor performance.
Working closely with the client, sub consultants and main contractors.
Review overall project status with the Project Management team and recommend corrective action where necessary.
Use a clear, systematic approach to solving complex issues and able to communicate solutions in an effective, efficient, high-level manner.
Coordinating and managing multiple stakeholders and demonstrate the ability to build relationships.
Establish project planning process and procedure to include within the PEP (Project Execution Plan)
Assure integration of sub-schedules from all parties (functions, subdivisions) involved in the projects.
Tracks and reports progress against the baseline schedule and continuously monitors risks and opportunities as well as proactively develops scenarios, mitigation or back-up plans required.
Report on schedule progress inclusive of contractual spend utilising reporting metrics implementing EV (earned value) and PV (planned value) and deviations within all functions and parties involved in the project
Creating dashboard and follow-up trackers
The Project Planner produces schedule-related KPI's as required by the project.
Lead meetings related to the schedule and its associated process and procedure
Manage, with the support of all Project Team members, the effective communication to all functions of their duties and responsibilities in the execution of the schedule.
Previous experience may include, but not be limited to;
P6 trained with strong skills utilising this software (Mandatory)
Engineering Degree Qualification is Mandatory (Civil/Mechanical)
Project Management certification is preferred (Good to Have) e.g. PMP, RMP, SP (Schedule professional)
Experience of atleast 4 to 7 years of experience in construction industry
Major international project experience in Gulf is preferred
Must have experience in mixed use projects e.g. retail, residential, commercial etc.
P6 experience is good to have
Excellent written and verbal skills with a fluent proficiency in English.
