ob Summary
We are looking for a skilled Utility Operator to operate, monitor, and maintain plant utility systems to ensure uninterrupted support for manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor utility equipment such as Air Compressors, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Boilers, DG Sets, Water Pumps, Softener/RO Plant, and Air Dryers.
- Ensure continuous supply of utilities to production departments.
- Monitor utility parameters including pressure, temperature, water levels, and power consumption.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of utility equipment.
- Identify and troubleshoot minor mechanical and electrical issues and report major breakdowns.
- Maintain daily utility logs, equipment checklists, and maintenance records.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance and Production teams during breakdowns and scheduled maintenance.
- Ensure efficient utilization of utilities to reduce energy and operating costs.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in the utility area.
- Follow company SOPs, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience as a Utility Operator in a manufacturing company.
- Knowledge of compressors, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, DG sets, pumps, and water treatment systems.
- Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical maintenance.
- Ability to read utility gauges and maintain operational records.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts.
Preferred Skills
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance and TPM practices.
- Basic computer knowledge for reporting and documentation.
- Good communication and teamwork skills
