- In-Process Inspections: Conduct routine patrol and visual inspections throughout the production cycle to verify that processes adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs). [1]
- Testing & Measurement: Measure products and components against exact blueprints or specifications using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. [1]
- Defect Management: Identify, document, and segregate any non-conforming or defective materials. [1, 2]
- Production Line Halts: Authorize the suspension of assembly operations if continuous defects or safety hazards are detected. [1, 2]
- Documentation: Maintain accurate daily logs of inspections, test results, rejections, and waste. [1, 2]
- Collaboration: Communicate real-time quality concerns to shift supervisors and maintenance teams to address root causes efficiently. [1, 2]
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 0–3 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, or quality assurance environments.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production schematics.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous eye for detecting visual flaws and dimensional discrepancies.
