ABOUT THE PROJECTKa
Kariwala Industries Limited is developing an integrated garment and sustainable bag manufacturing facility at Ramnagar, near Falta SEZ, South 24 Parganas. The plant encompasses multi-floor production units for cutting, printing, embroidery, washing, sewing, and ironing. We are seeking a Site Project Manager to lead on-ground execution across civil construction, MEP, fit-out, and statutory compliance.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Site Project Manager is the primary on-ground authority for the Ramnagar Factory project. This role is responsible for end-to-end coordination of construction activities, vendor and contractor management, regulatory approvals, and project reporting ensuring the facility is delivered on schedule, within budget, and in full statutory compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Civil Construction Management
- Supervise all civil works including foundation, piling, ground floor slab, and superstructure across all floors
- Coordinate and review structural and architectural drawings; ensure drawing approvals and revisions are tracked and implemented on site
- Monitor and enforce pre-casting requirements including sleeve, embedment before concrete is poured
- Conduct regular site inspections and resolve construction deviations in real time
- Maintain construction quality in line with approved drawings and specifications
- Manage and track running drawings maintaining up-to-date revision control across civil, structural, and architectural sets throughout the construction cycle
MEP & Systems Coordination
- Coordinate for delivery of complete MEP design packages covering mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works
- Ensure BIM models (LOD 300) are received, reviewed, and aligned with civil works before execution
- Oversee sleeve and conduit embedments for electrical, plumbing, fire detection, CCTV, LAN, access control, and public address systems
- Review and track fire detection, firefighting, and safety systems drawings for compliance with NBC 2016 Part 4, IS 2189:2008, and West Bengal Factories Rules 1958
Contractor & Vendor Management
- Manage day-to-day activities of all contractors, subcontractors, and labour on site
- Issue and track work orders, material procurement, and delivery schedules
- Review contractor bills and certify work completion for payment processing
- Coordinate multiple parallel workstreams without sequencing conflicts
Statutory Approvals & Compliance
- Track and drive all statutory approvals including Factory Directorate (Form 1/2), Fire NOC, WBPCB consent, Electrical Inspectorate clearance, and WBSEDCL HT connection
- Coordinate with relevant government departments and ensure timely submission of required documents
- Maintain compliance records and project documentation for audit and inspection purposes
- Ensure gap-closure on fire detection and firefighting design before regulatory submissions
Reporting & Communication
- Provide structured weekly progress reports to senior management (GM Operations and above)
- Maintain a master project tracker covering civil, MEP, finishes, and approvals
- Escalate risks, delays, and cost variances proactively with proposed mitigation plans
- Serve as the single point of contact between site, contractors, and the management team
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
