Role Overview
The Fibre Plan & Design – Delivery Head will be responsible for end-to-end planning, design, engineering governance, and delivery execution of fibre optic network projects across large-scale telecom, ISP, enterprise, and data center deployments. The role ensures that business and presales commitments are translated into scalable, cost-optimized, and execution-ready network designs.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Governance
- Define and own fibre planning, design, and delivery strategy.
- Establish design governance frameworks and standards.
- Act as final authority for network architecture decisions across FTTH, Metro, Long-Haul, Enterprise, and Data Center networks.
Planning & Network Design
- Lead high-level and low-level fibre network design.
- Own route planning, capacity planning, topology design, and BOQ/BOM accuracy.
- Validate feasibility and survey outputs.
Delivery & Execution
- Ensure on-time delivery of execution-ready designs.
- Minimize rework through strong upfront engineering.
- Support rollout, testing, and final handover.
Stakeholder Management
- Partner with Presales, PMO, Field Teams, and Vendors.
- Ensure presales solutions are technically deliverable.
- Act as technical authority in customer engagements.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor planners, designers, and GIS/CAD teams.
- Define KPIs and drive capability building.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to industry standards, customer specs, and regulatory norms.
- Drive risk identification and mitigation.
Experience & Qualifications
- 15+ years in fibre network planning, design, and delivery.
- 5–7 years in senior leadership roles.
- Strong expertise in FTTH, Metro, Long-Haul, Enterprise, and Data Center networks.
- Proficiency in GIS and CAD tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Telecom / Electrical / Electronics / CS).
