Job Summary
We are looking for a Utility Technician to support the installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telecom infrastructure and utility systems. The role involves ensuring telecom sites have reliable power, cabling, grounding, and supporting infrastructure for uninterrupted network operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot telecom site utility systems.
- Perform routine maintenance of power supply systems, batteries, generators, UPS, rectifiers, and electrical panels.
- Inspect and maintain telecom site electrical and utility infrastructure.
- Check and maintain AC/DC power systems and battery backup systems.
- Perform cable installation, termination, routing, and labeling.
- Inspect grounding and earthing systems and report any faults.
- Support telecom tower/site installation and maintenance activities.
- Identify electrical, power, and equipment faults and carry out corrective actions.
- Conduct preventive maintenance according to scheduled maintenance plans.
- Monitor site utilities and ensure equipment operates within required parameters.
- Maintain tools, equipment, spare parts, and maintenance records.
- Prepare service reports and update supervisors regarding site conditions and faults.
- Follow electrical, telecom, and workplace safety procedures.
- Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, vendors, and field teams during maintenance activities.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of electrical and telecom infrastructure.
- Knowledge of AC/DC power systems and battery maintenance.
- Understanding of generators, UPS, rectifiers, and power distribution.
- Basic knowledge of cabling, grounding, and earthing.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to use electrical testing tools such as a multimeter and clamp meter.
- Ability to work at telecom sites and travel to different locations.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong focus on safety and preventive maintenance.
Qualification
- ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in telecom, electrical maintenance, infrastructure, or utility operations preferred.

- BTS/NodeB/4G/5G site infrastructure
- DG generator and battery systems
