Role description
Minimum Qualification: B. Tech / BE or equivalent – Electrical, Electrical & Electronic, Electrical & Instrumentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning monthly and daily as per approved timeline of the project. Implement construction schedule, work plan, and monitor day to day progress. Prepare progress updates and MIS for management reporting. –
- Coordination with vendors, engineering team, closer of procurement engineering.
- Coordination with engineering team and procurement team for placement of orders.
- Coordinate with technology suppliers, equipment vendors, construction partner and other departments
- Have clear understanding of electrical safety and work procedure.
- Conduct training and monitoring of subordinated and the contract workers
- Ensure manpower planning and resource allocation to meet the project timeline.
- Ensure smooth coordination with the Business unit
- Installation and commissioning including testing of GIS, HT Switchgears, Power & Distribution Transformers, Cabling, Bus duct, control panels, PLC, Drives Harmonic Filters, SAS & SCADA. –
- installation & commissioning of all MV/ LV Drives, Soft starter, Converter Transformer, HV and LV Inverter duty Motors, Static Var Compensation (SVC) for application in project. –
- installation, Calibration & commissioning of Control valves, transmitters (Flow, pressure, temperature etc), RTD, and Thermocouples etc. Level Zero Field devices and Instruments, Special X Ray and Nucleonic gauges, Lab Instruments considering latest technological advancement, reliability, safety and quality as per TSL. –
- Preparation of procurement strategy incorporating latest technological advancement, reliability, safety, and quality as per TSL standard. –
- Preparation of QAP for Manufacturing, Installation & Testing. –
- Coordination with expediting team and OEM/ vendors for timely delivery of the materials.
- Ensure timely completion of project within budget
- Ensure compliance with applicable TSL standards, and IS standards and other codes
- Conduct safety audit on regular basis
- Co-ordinate with vendor partners for defining construction plan & schedule. –
- Ensure timely mobilization of resources at site for project execution. Management of man, material & machine at site. –
- Making Risk analysis of site, Ensure implementation of SOPs, Quality assurance plan, Safety rules & standards at site. –
- Interface with customer department for resolution of day-to-day issues and ensure site work progress. –
- Billing of vendors timely and accurately, maintaining record of free issue items as per standards.
- Collaborate with team members and business partners to improve productivity, responsibility & accountability to meet the project cost & timeline.
- Carry out PSSR after completion of job and documentation and handover the system to Operation team ensuring completion of plug list.
- Ensure that all statutory clearance required for the project are met before commissioning of the system.
Skills
- Hands on experience of installation, testing & commissioning of various HV switchgear, Control Panels, Power Transformers, LT/HT cabling, and Harmonic Filters, MV/ LV Drives, Soft starter, Converter Transformer, HV and LV Inverter duty Motors, Static Var Compensation (SVC) for application in project. Knowledge of relay coordination/setting etc.
- Hand on experience on calibration & commissioning of process instrument like Control valves, transmitters (Flow, pressure, temperature etc), RTD, and Thermocouples etc. Level Zero Field devices and Instruments, Special X Ray and Nucleonic gauges, Lab Instruments.
- Understanding of design and sizing calculations of equipment, Control scheme knowledge of switchgear/ Transformers, testing of electrical equipment, SAS/SCADA, harmonic filters used in Steel industry applications.
- Understand reading of engineering drawings, SLDs, cable schedule etc.

Requirement is for IL6, IL5 & IL 4.
